I thinks IE9 is slightly better or on par with Firefox but can’t really compete in terms of variable extensions.
As with the previous version,of course they can’t compete with IE9 coolest feature the graphic acceleration :D

I Can’t check if its really faster than the previous versions of IE.I also wanted to compare with Firefox RC but as I’m using XP its not possible. The minimum requirements is Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 or Higher.

I had also written a post about it on March 14 9pm PST .but i couldn’t use it on my PC.I love XP more than win7 or Vista ;p

By the way Firefox4 should be released by march 22

I wonder if it’s faster for real and how much memory it takes, still i think it can’t compete with firefox because there is no plugin for ie9.

Im stuck in the same boat as you, I cant personally try it out, I can only see what others think about it.

For me, it is still firefox or chrome that give the best experience and features.

    Hi Edwin
I think that IE9 is a big improvement over IE8. It is a lot faster than IE8. Is it better than Firefox? Hmm I don’t know, but I think Microsoft is getting close to Firefox and Chrome with this release.

I use Google Chrome. I think it is better than other browsers but I’ll soon check it.

  8. I heard that it is much better than previous versions, and really outperforms them. But never tried it. I think IE has sunk so low that probably only a very small percentage of internet users use it… (well maybe this rate is higher between the less “experienced” web surfers)

Its great news but it seems that Skype has been got over priced, although Microsoft dont want to leave any option to win from its competitor …
